How can I use WBT if my students don't speak English?

(Escribiré en inglés estas ideas personales... así que si quieres seguir leyendo, por favor vete al traductor en el lateral derecho del blog y cambialo).

I've been getting some e-mails about  teachers that like WBT but are having some problems using it with kids that are not English Speakers. I'm Spaniard and I work in Spain... so our kids just receive English input at school... so imagine my challenge.... I need to make myself understood with every single word I say... It's very difficult but it's a 6 year challenge (at least the 6 years they are at elementary school) and of course it takes place little by little, and gestures... thousands of gestures)

My teach-okay, starts being more like a teach-mirror- okay... since kids just repeat and teach what they see and listen. Sometimes they just mumble and mimic what they listen to.... but day by day, month after month.... reaching the end of the first year... you start finding that kids are putting some new words in, "it's magic", but of course... patience is required all the time.. but it is worth the effort. TRY  IT!!!
